Hot Swiss Bacon Dip

Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving! I call this holiday “happy unbutton your pants day” since I ate way too much food, but it was oh so good! Eric had to work Thanksgiving day but was able to get off just in time for our late lunch. I was so thankful for that! Eric’s mom came up from South Georgia and hung with us for the weekend. I think it was the first time she visited, and I actually got to spend time with her! Usually with our work schedules, we would only see her in the evenings. It was nice to have four days off, but it flew by. I also don’t think I was mentally prepared for my Monday and Tuesday returning. I think I just now got caught up on emails! Hello Christmas Party season! You have commenced!

Eric and I have been saving over the last two months for Black Friday. I usually don’t partake in Black Friday but Friday my mom, Eric’s mom, and I shopped till we dropped for the new house. From washer and dryer to a new refrigerator to curtains, we bought it all. Now that I am checking my credit card statement, I want to take it all back. Hope you found some good deals too!

I thought I would share with you a yummy appetizer I made for thanksgiving! I have been eating this for years because my best friend Anna Frances makes it for every occasion. I thought it would be a good time to introduce my family to it. Let me tell you, it was such a hit that I made it two days later for the Iron Bowl! This appetizer is the definition of NOT healthy.
